Welcome to the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists (LNWC) web site. We are a chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation (NCWF) - a community based organization established for the purposes of environmental education, appreciation of wildlife and natural history, and conservation of wildlife habitat and natural resources.

  Vision Statement

“The Vision of the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists is to protect and enhance the natural resources and wildlife habitats of the greater Lake Norman area, for all to enjoy.”

Next Educational Program

Our next educational program "Raptors" will be held on Thursday, January 15, starting at 7:00 PM at the Mooresville Public Library. For more information email us at info@LNWC.org.

Volunteers Needed

We're looking for volunteers to help plan and produce a brand new event. On April 18 at LangTree of Lake Norman, we will host our very first (Habitat Fair, Wildlife Spring Fling?)........ it's so new, we don't even have a name yet. Our emphasis will be on all things "Nature": wildlife, plants, outdoor activities, landscaping, speakers and instructors on numerous nature topics, and a host of youth activities. Our breadth of attractions is limited only by our imagination.

If you are interested in helping to create this fun event, contact Don West donw@lnwc.org or 704-231-3317. We want your ideas!
